Using Our Expertise to Transform Lives in Underserved Communities

Our First Mia Mission in Cuidad Juárez, Mexico

At Mia Aesthetics, we are proud to announce the creation of the Mia Aesthetics Foundation. Through this nonprofit charity, we intend to make a positive impact by providing reconstructive plastic surgeries to underserved communities throughout the world. We will achieve this global reach by partnering with other like-minded organizations that share our mission and values.

Our first such mission involved a partnership with FEMAP and the Pink Ribbon Initiative in Cuidad Juárez, Mexico. The Pink Ribbon Project provides breast cancer patients and survivors with healthcare as well as wigs, turbans, prosthetics, and other beauty products as they fight this disease.

The project also provides a supportive community to help comfort and uplift the brave women who fight this cancer and the family members who support them in their struggle.

By sending Dr. Alvarez, Dr. Fasusi, and a dedicated Mia Aesthetics clinical team, the Mia Aesthetics Foundation realized this effort to transform the lives of these women. This group of caring professionals donated both their time and talents so that 10 women who endured mastectomies could receive the restorative care they needed but did not have access to.

We Are Just Getting Started

We are proud of our work with FEMAP and happy to have completed our first trip to Cuidad Juárez, but we’re just getting started. We truly believe in giving back to those in need and feel privileged to be able to do so. While our recent mission focused on breast cancer survivors, we’re open to solving a variety of surgery needs in communities that need assistance.

Our goals include offering reconstructive surgeries to burn victims, those battling extreme scar tissue, trauma survivors, and others in need of our help. We began laying the groundwork for this while in Mexico through consults with potential future patients, including a young child in need of help after a devastating facial dog bite. We want to serve all of the men, women, and children who need us around the globe.
